From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations, located in Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, is a university-wide program promoting teaching and scholarship on philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, voluntarism, and civil society. In addition to faculty, research fellows, and visiting scholars, the Center anchors a network of students and faculty throughout the university who share interests in these topics.

The Center hosts a bi-weekly seminar series during the academic year, supports a working paper series, and maintains a reference library. It also hosts special events, such as the "emerging issues" series of conferences on legal and policy issues, co-sponsored by the Urban Institute. The Faculty Chair of the Center is Derek Bok; Mark H. Moore is the Faculty Director. Other notable faculty members include Peter Dobkin Hall, L. David Brown, Bryan Hehir and Marshall Ganz.
