Haunted Liverpool

Haunted Liverpool is an ongoing series of books, written by Tom Slemen. The books deal with various aspects of paranormal phenomenon, such as ghosts, UFOs and Aliens, as well as investigating the mysteries and folklore linked to his home town of Liverpool, England. The first volume was written and published in 1996, and quickly became Liverpool's best-selling local book, with four reprints within six months. In 2005 Slemen announced that Haunted Liverpool 10 would be the last in the series, but due to public demand Slemen chose to continue the series. As of 2006 Slemen has written thirteen books in the series. Characters found within the Haunted Liverpool books include Spring Heeled Jack, a leprechaun named Tarney, Richard Tilly the lecherous self-resurrecting Satanist (buried on Bidston Hill), Alaric Romaine the mystical detective, Bezzera the Wizard of the Calderstones (who foresaw John Lennon's global fame, Sir Peter Robinson - a bogus teenaged Lord, and Boz, a repentant demon who has escaped from Hell.
