Haughton is a village in Staffordshire, England, approximately 4 miles outside the county town of Stafford. It lies on the A518 between Stafford and Gnosall.

A small and peaceful rural village, Haughton contains 2 public houses, The Shropshire and The Bell, both pleasant for a meal or a drink. In the centre of the village situated on the main road is Haughton church, alongside which is the Old Village School (now a bed and breakfast). The new school is set back from the main road and caters for students between the ages of 5 and 11. The village offers a small selection of shops, the Post Office and Newsagents, hairdressers, grocers, and until recently a butcher shop and the Red Lion farm shop, where one can purchase the nationally popular Red Lion jersey ice cream (also obtainable at the Post Office and Newsagents) among other delicacies. The Post Office & Newsagents is also renowned for its wide selection of magazines, as it stocks over 700 periodicals from popular titles to the lesser known that you would not expect to find in a village shop. Haughton Post Office also sells locally baked home-made cakes. As of the 14th February 2007 Haughton Post Office offer Euros on-demand over the counter.

Coming up to Christmas the external decorative lights (pictures can be seen on the right of the 3 main houses) are well worth a visit as the villages inhabitants strive to transform Haughton into the most festive village in Staffordshire. The lights are put up to raise money for local charities.
