Hatz Biplane

A very popular two place open cockpit biplane homebuilt. It was designed by John Hatz and the prototype "Happiness" was first flown in April 1968. The "Hatz" is built in the standard practice of wood wings with a steel tube fuselage and tail covered in fabric. They are powered from anywhere between 85h.p. to 160 h.p. engines. The "Hatz" has a large wing area and gently flight characteristics.
