Hatta is one of the biggest villages in Damoh district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is also head quarters of Hatta Tehsil.

The village is located at 24°12′N 79°59′E[1]. It is about 30km north of Damoh on the banks of river Sunar.

As per 1991 census, the total population of the village is 22937 -- 12141 males and 10796 females. The population of the Hatta Tehsil is 108339 (57183 males, 51156 females).

Main occupation of people is agriculture and tobacco industry. The main crop is rice. Being on the banks of Sunar River and in plains, the black soil is fertile.
