Hatsui

Hatsui (室宿) is a Genbu celestial warrior from Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yūgi Genbu Kaiden. He is a timid and chubby youngster of twelve. His parents passed away when he was nine and Hatsui had to face bullies on his own. Due to the abuse, he accidentally unleashed his celestial power for the first time and ended up killing many people. It was to defend himself, he had never meant to harm anyone, so he ran away from his village and secluded himself in the mountains. Sometime later, a woman named Fen discovered him there and befriended him. However, when Takiko and Tomite arrive to search for Hatsui, it is revealed that Fen is an assassin with a mission to kill the Genbu celestial warriors; meaning she never really cared for Hatsui.
