This article is incorrect in stating that it was the first wearable darth vader mask toy. I had one in like 1998, with a voice changer built into it, and it wasn't counterfeit, nor was it a halloween costume. Does anyone know when the first one came out?
- Yeah I definitely saw a full head helmet for sale around 1996-1998. I don't know if it had a voice changer. They were very expensive, about 3-4 times the price of the Hasbro mask IIRC, so I didn't buy one. I think Vlad Drac/Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle) used to wear one on stage too.
