Hasan di Tiro (Born 4 September 1930) is the founder of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM), an organisation which has been seeking the independence of Aceh from Indonesia since the 1970's. After the Tsunami of 2004 the GAM and the Indonesian governemnt agreed a peace treaty in which more autonomy for Aceh was accepted by di Tiro and his followers.

Hasan di Tiro is the heir to the Sultans of Aceh and if monarchy in Aceh were to be restored he would be Sultan of Aceh.

Since 1980 he has lived in Stockholm, Sweden and also has Swedish citizenship.
