[edit] Israeli Hip Hop and soul Music

An Israeli Group founded by Adam Tal sometime around the birth of the "Israeli Hip Hop" concept.

[edit] The Concept

Influenced by American groups such as A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan and more, as you can tell from the implied band-name, members of The Tribe had their mind set on being the first Israeli collective to combine talents of their musicians\instrumentalists, sound engineers and vocalists to create Middle Eastern Urban Music.

The concept was simple: American standards, but music that feels natural and credible to the Israeli ear.

[edit] The music

Musically, This collective is all about making music that sounds like a good romantic comedy - funny, light, moving and sexy. This atmosphere is achieved by Adam's Sweet Chords laid over sooth beats that sit nicely under lead vocalist Maytal "Me2qa" Rahmian, and lead rapper Tuna Man.

Though the American standards were achieved by other artists before the collective had a chance to prove itself (by groups and artists like Subliminal and Hadag Nahash, critics sometime refer to The Tribe's Debut album as a turning point for mainstream Israeli Hop Hop.

They have worked with most Israeli artist and groups, as featured guests or as producers - Hadag Nahash Kele 6 Tamer Nafer, Quami, Momy Levi, and more.

[edit] Neve Midbar

"Neve Midbar" is The "shevet's" first video to air on Israeli Music Channel. Since it contains nudity and sexual content, it had be cencored. Yet, Music24 channel's editor have received a surprising amount of Parents' request to ban the group and the video. Still the video turned to be successful as the collective reports over 70,000 video download from their official site, and 60,000 views at metacafe in just two weeks.
