Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it may be rude or inflammatory, unnecessarily long/confusing, too similar to an existing user, contains the name of an organization or website, contains the word Wikipedia or the name of any other Wikimedia Foundation project, or is otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username. Wikipedia:Username policy provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may appeal on your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.

If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account. Request reason: "I read through the 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Username' document to decipher why I'd been blocked. Presumably it was in accordance with: Usernames that contain a domain or imply a web address. This may include usernames that contain .com, .co.uk, .net, .org or any other top level web domain. These usernames will be blocked as a violation of Wikipedia policy against spamming and advertisement. This prompted me to visit www.harvey.com to see what was there. The address fronts Harvey Entertainment, an animation company that holds the trademark for Casper and an assortment of other characters that no doubt have had a formative influence on succeeding generations of American children. Which is fine for them, I however am Australian (as can be confirmed by eyeballing my IP address) who was ignorant of the American franchise until fifteen minutes ago. Harvey.com also happens to be my handle on my gmail account which I registered as my email contact when I opened my wiki account. My real life name is Paul Harvey (and yes, I am aware of a famous American radio personality of that name. Not me!) and where possible I prefer to limit the growing plethora of different user identities and email addresses we accumulate in this information age to manageable levels. I attempted to apply my other usual handles when opening the account but was balked at every attempt due to the names already being in wiki circulation. In short, I'm asking for an exemption due to the username being used being my own, not having any identifiable connection to a commercial enterprise and any resemblance to being a company placard being a coincidence. regards, Paul."

Decline reason: "Sorry but rules are rules, web domain names are not allowed as the policy implies. Simply create a new account. ยค~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 18:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)"
