Harry Henry Gebel (born 1970-11-07) is a security supervisor at DuPont Stine-Haskell Research Center in Newark, Delaware. He is also an editor of the English language Wikipedia, which he edits using the username HarryHenryGebel. Gebel was born in Dover Air Force Base Hospital near Dover, Delaware. He grew up on a Perdue poultry farm in the rural area of Chapeltown Crossroads near Marydel, Delaware. He received his primary education at Caesar Rodney School District public schools in Camden, Delaware and graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1989. Gebel is a Roman Catholic, a Republican, and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Gebel joined the United States Navy in 1989 and was attending the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida when he was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, resulting in his involuntary discharge from the Navy after nine months of service. After leaving the Navy Gebel spent 10 years working in a wide variety of jobs, mostly pizza delivery and in the manufacturing end of the dental industry. During this time period he lived outside of Wyoming, Delaware and in Milford, Delaware.
Gebel has worked in the contract security industry since December, 2000. In November, 2001 he moved to Newark, Delaware. He has worked at the DuPont Stine-Haskell Research Center since April, 2002 and has been a security supervisor there since September, 2002. He worked for Day & Zimmermann when first coming to Stine-Haskell, but currently works for the Wackenhut Corporation.
Gebel has been a Wikipedia editor since 2003-08-26. He is most proud of his work with cleaning up disambiguation pages with links. Gebel's username was originally Hgebel, but was changed to HarryHenryGebel on 2007-03-03.
