Talk:Hartog Plate

[edit] Hartog's plate or Vlamingk's plate?
How could "the French captain of the Naturaliste Jacques FĂ©lix Emmanuel Hamelin ... [find] the memorial of Dirk Hartog's previous visit, though the plate was almost buried in the sand as the post had rotted away" if Vlamingk had previously removed it Holland?
- Its worded badly. Hamelin actually found Vlaming's plate which is the memorial of Hartog's plate. -- I@n 00:31, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Photo
Looking for a photo of Vlamingh's plate currently housed in the Western Australian Maritime Museum. Only if someone's paying them a visit. -- I@n 02:40, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
