[edit] Hartog's plate or Vlamingk's plate?

How could "the French captain of the Naturaliste Jacques FĂ©lix Emmanuel Hamelin ... [find] the memorial of Dirk Hartog's previous visit, though the plate was almost buried in the sand as the post had rotted away" if Vlamingk had previously removed it Holland?

Its worded badly. Hamelin actually found Vlaming's plate which is the memorial of Hartog's plate. -- I@n 00:31, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
