Hartland Point
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hartland Point is a 325 ft high rocky outcrop of land on the coast of Devon in the United Kingdom. This location was known to the Romans as the "promontory of Hercules". On 31 December 1982 the Dutch owned Johanna was driven aground here by strong gales while sailing up the Bristol Channel to Cardiff. The decaying remains of the hull can still be seen.
