Harsharan Landa BA (Hons) (born Harsharan Kaur Landa) is an up and coming British fashion designer and stylist. She is best known for her Harsh brand, a logo that accompanies many of her designs.

[edit] Birth
Harsharan was born in Plaistow, a borough in the East End of London, descending from an exotic mix of a Guernseian[1] mother and Indian father. She was inspired at a young age by her mother, a natural seamstress, and her grandfather who made clothes for a company that traded with Harrods.

Harsharan graduated inJuly 2001 from the pinnacle of fashion institutions, The London College of Fashion. This allowed her to be woven into her chosen industry by which she had gained valuable experience with Julian McDonald. She also polished up on her pattern cutting skills by working as a pattern cutter for Louis De Garma, as well as having the privilage of being schooled by top British designer Tristan Webber[2].

After Graduating, Harsharan decided to cloth the body of fashion herself, with her debut collection landing her own concession in Topshop's Oxford Street store (for the duration of 2002) , and various boutiques across London's fashion capital. Her collections have also graced the catwalks of events such as Breakthrough for Breast Cancer[3], Afro Hair and Beauty Show[4], and Children In Need. In addition she has been designing and styling for celebrity clients and rising stars of the music industry which include; Dahiqi, an artist on Victor Davis' Afro Gigolo Records, Kate Lawler, Charlie, Illustraters, Eneeks, Mistir D, Freakus, Ryan Hope, and Coolio.
Harsharan now heads her fashion and music Label, Howell 2B Harsh with her partner David 'Mistir_D' Howell. The dynamic duo launched at London Fashion Week on February 18 2004 at the celebrity hangout spot, The Rex in Leicester Square. They followed their success 14 days later with a tour of fashion and music shows. The tour continued in celebrity attracted venues such as Toast in Hampstead and Kensington Roof Gardens to name a few.
Harsharan has also blessed the pages of Drapers, Pride Magazine, Vogue, Miss London, The Horace Herald and New Consumer magazine. She continues to intrigue her consumers by her designs that are yet to come.

- Harsharan is the eldest of three sisters. In addition to English, she can also speak French and Punjabi.[citation needed]
- She has also been writing poetry for as long as she has been making clothes.
- Her grandfather has been an extra in various films and TV shows. The most notably are The Fifth Element and EastEnders.
- Her uncle is Peter Mehtab, a-list magican to celebraties including Tom Cruise, Sting, Her Majesty the Queen, and Prince Charles. He is also the notable casino dealer in The World Is Not Enough.
