Harry S Truman College

Harry S Truman College, more familiar as simply Truman College, is a community college located in the Chicago, Illinois Uptown community area on Broadway Avenue at Wilson Avenue. The school was named in honor of President of the United States Harry S Truman, who was nominated for the vice presidency in the 1944 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Truman College is a member of the City Colleges of Chicago. It also administers the Lakeview Learning Center, offering classes to students who prefer to take classes in the Lakeview neighborhood.
