Harry Lloyd was born in London, England on 17 November 1983 and is a British television actor.

He is the great, great, great grandson of the Victorian writer Charles Dickens, and his mother's maiden name is Dickens. Harry was educated at Eton College. While there, he was cast as young Steerforth in the 1999 David Copperfield. In 2002, he was cast as young Rivers in Goodbye Mr Chips. Lloyd went on to study English at Christ Church, Oxford where he joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society appearing in several plays. He appeared in the role of Valentin in Kiss of the Spider Woman. Harry left Oxford in 2005, graduating with an upper second degree.

He has since been cast as Will Scarlett in the BBC drama series Robin Hood the second series of which is expected to begin filming in 2007.

In early 2007 Lloyd appeared in Bash by Neil LaBute at the Trafalgar Studios in London's West End and has received many positive reviews[1] [2] [3] [4].

He is expected to soon appear in episodes eight and nine of Doctor Who in 2007 as Jeremy Baines[citation needed].
