Harry Mark Christopher Judd, commonly known as Harry Judd (nicknamed Juddy Harold) (born December 23, 1985 in Chelmsford, Essex, England) is the drummer in the British pop band McFly, along with fellow band members Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones. McFly rose to fame after former band Busted helped launch them by inviting them on tour in March 2004.
[edit] Biography
Judd was born in Chelmsford, in Essex, England. He was educated at Uppingham School, the school was also attended by ex-Busted member Charlie Simpson, now lead singer with the band Fightstar. Judd's brother, Thomas, was friends with Charlie Simpson when they attended Uppingham.
Harry Judd has been drumming for four years and he never sings vocals in McFly, although when on tour he always sings a very unique version of 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias. He can be seen playing the drums in Busted's music video for "Crashed the Wedding" which was released in October 2003, before Island began generating the buzz around McFly. He taught himself how to play drums. His favourite bands range from The Who to the Canadian rock band Simple Plan, Dashboard Confessional and the Beatles. He enjoys listening to a little Fightstar here and there.
He is currently involved in a charity campaign called Rupert's Fund in honor of an old friend who was afflicted with leukemia as a teenager. Though the friend has since recovered, Harry founded the organization because he realized how horrible it was and wanted to help.
In March 2006, Judd participated in Sport Relief's 'All Out For India' where a team of celebrities travelled to India as part of a cricket team, to help raise money for children.
In 2006, Judd appeared in the Lindsay Lohan film Just My Luck with his fellow bandmates, it was at this time that Harry was romantically linked to Lindsay Lohan, however Lohan has always denied this.
