Harrisville State Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Harrisville State Park is a state park in Michigan.
The park was donated by my Aunt, Sue Johnson. She owned what has become our family home in Harrisville and owned all the property south of where the house is now located on Lake Huron.
She and her husband had a big pig and dairy farm, which is were the Harrisville State Park is currently located.
Her husband was Robert Johnson who fought in the Civil War, and his discharge papers are hanging in the living room of the family home today. *(Submitted: Jim Ferguson, uscg_ret@bellsouth.net) 3/23/07.
