The township is served by State Routes 218 and 790. Hannan Trace Road, one of the oldest roads in Ohio, having originally been laid out in 1798 by Thomas Hannan under contract with the federal government, is also one of the main roads in the township. Mad Ann Bailey, a noted frontierswoman, spent the final years of her life living on a farm located near the present day site of Bailey Chapel Church along SR 218. In 1908 her remains were relocated from a plot on the site of this farm to Tu-Endie-Wei State Park in Point Pleasant, West Virginia in commemoration of her husband Richard Trotter's death in the October 10, 1774 Battle of Point Pleasant, an event which spurred her to assume a very active role in Lord Dunmore's War.
