Harrisburg Regional Chamber

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber (HRC) was founded in 1912, and was originally known as the Harrisburg Board of Trade, which was established in the late 1800s. The HRC currently represents 1730 businesses in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry (Pennsylvania), counties. The HRC is composed of 24 staff professionals as well as volunteer leaders at all levels of the organization. The Chamber's Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) leads the tri-county regions economic development efforts. The CREDC provides services to businesses including financing, workforce development, site location, and entrepreneurial assistance. As part of CREDC's economic development efforts, they also own and operate the Murata Business Center.

- Members have the opportunity to advertise on cable television through Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC's partnership with Comcast Spotlight.
- Event-specific sponsorship of the 60+ events held throughout the year by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC provides a tremendous marketing opportunity to members.

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber is dedicated to developing woman and minority-owned businesses in the tri-county Region. The Chamber created the Business Diversity Advisory Council to enhance opportunities for women and minority business entrepreneurs throughout Central Pennsylvania 's tri-county region. This is done by supporting the businesses of women and minorities with educational training, technical assistance, and identification of financial resources. Regional mentoring is also available for woman and minority business owners.

Each year, the Chamber publishes valuable guides to assist businesses, visitors, and residents in Central Pennsylvania. With everything from a regional map to contact information for regional legislators, these individual guides offer a wealth of information.

"The Harrisburg Regional News" is a quarterly publication of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber. It covers business, community, and civic issues, as well as news of general interest for members and investors of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber.It boasts a circulation of 2,200, and advertising in it is available exclusively to members of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber.
