Harrington College of Design is a for-profit design school in Chicago, Illinois. The school offers Associate's degrees in Interior Design and Digital Photography and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.
The school traces its history to 1931, when Frances Harrington, a practicing interior designer from New York, traveled to Chicago to provide a series of lectures for interior design professionals. From the beginning she soon founded the Harrington Institute of Interior Design. Harrington Institute of Interior Design was located in the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue for many years run by Mr. Robert Marks and staffing the finest faculty in the design and architecture fields before moving to 200 West Madison. As the school expanded over the years, it changed its name to Harrington College of Design and now offers a broader education in the visual arts.
The school is a subsidiary of the Career Education Corporation.
