Harold Nelson

Harold Nelson (22 May 1871 -1946) was a British book illustrator, artist and designer of bookplates. Born at Dorchester, Nelson studied at the Lambeth School of Art and the Central School of Arts and Crafts, London. Influenced by William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Nelson made a speciality of medieval illustrations with elaborate borders and was particularly accomplished as a book designer.
