Harold's Trousers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Harold's Trousers are a New York-based band that has been described as "a naughty blend of Afro-Cuban/Latin beats, acid jazz grooves, progressive funk and underground hip-hop, rooted deeply into the musical lifestyle of punk rock and ska. This unification of genres sounds so fresh, it will tickle your ears. For fans anything from Ozomatli to Less Than Jake to Jurassic 5".[1]

The band played during the Ska is Dead 3 tour, which began September 7, 2005, and ended October 16, 2005. This tour featured bands such as The Planet Smashers, The Toasters, and Mustard Plug. More information on specific shows is available at the tour's official website.[2] The band has played shows with national acts such as Greyscale and has somewhat of a cult following in the New York area.

Their debut album, Sailing the Seven Seams, was released on August 3, 2004.[3]

The band has an official website and a MySpace page.[4][5]

Two of the members formed a blues/garage rock side project called Slick River in 2006. After a losing key members and restructuring in late 2006, the band is working on new material and will likely tour in late 2007 with an album to follow shortly thereafter.
