Hardy Manser

Hardy Frederick Manser (1982-), Born in Katoomba, NSW, Australia, completed his schooling at Wentwroth Falls Primary School, Bucasia State School, and finally at Katoomba High School, graduating in 2000. Hardy is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney, originally reading through Central Queensland University, holding a Bachelor of Science (Biological Science) (BSc(Biol)) majoring in Microbiology and Environmental Sciences. Hardy has also completed a Masters in Agriculture and Rural Development (MAgRuDev) from the University of Western Sydney, completing two dissertations titled ”A feasibility study for the investigation of the prevalence, impact, and treatment of liver abscess in Australian bovine herds” and “A case study into the sustainable development of a small agricultural show”. Hardy is currently completing studies in Teaching at Charles Sturt University and studies in Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland. Hardy is a proud member of the HAC Alumni as well as a member of various national and international professional Institutes and societies such as a Member of the Royal Institute, a Member of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Biology. Hardy is also a student member of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and its special interest groups the Australian Cattle Veterinarians (ACV) and Australian Association of Pig Veterinarians (AAPV). Hardy has worked in various positions including as a consulting researcher for a cooperative project between the University of Western Sydney’s School of Agriculture and Environment and Elanco Animal Health, a subsidiary of Eli Lily Pharmaceuticals. In this time Hardy has worked along side a number of industry colleagues and companies working towards the completion of common projects using a systemic approach. Hardy has worked in the Veterinary industry for over 8 years working from the single person practice, with specialist practitioners, emergency practice, multinational companies, along with working in the educational, human pathology, and sales. Hardy has served in various community capacities including President of the Lithgow Show Society and various state portfolios of the Australian Air League. Hardy was also the recipient of the Coca-Cola/ACAS Regional Scholarship and the HAC’s EA Southee memorial Scholarship in 2006.
