Hard Core was rapper Lil' Kim's debut album, released in November 1996 by Atlantic Records. The album was notable for its overt sexual tone and language, which made Kim infamous as a hip hop music celebrity. Hard Core debuted at #11 on the Billboard 200 charts. It is certified Double Platinum. It is also the first album by a female rapper to go platinum since Da Brat's debut.
