Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution

The Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution is an oceanographic institution in Fort Pierce, Florida. Scientists at this institute first isolated (+)-discodermolide, a potent inhibitor of tumor cell growth, currently in clinical trials. The institution was founded by John Seward Johnson I in 1971.
