If you persist in adding commercial links to Bollywood-relating pages (a practice known as linkspamming) you can be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please STOP. Zora 10:45, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Please explain to me what the point of this is? I add a link of site for topic in question and you edit it saying commercial link. Almost every IMDB (internet movie database) link is on millions of IMDB pages and other commercial links, which you have allowed, whats the difference? This is just stupid to consider one of the most money earning sites on the internet (IMDB) is not commercial, but a fan site dedicated to bollywood with same few banners is considered commercial. Makes no sense on this policy or whatever it is.

IMDB is considered such an outstanding resource that the ads are ignored. This is the consensus of all editors working on film articles. An exception is being made. Your site does not qualify for such an exception. to You should not be adding your site, in any case. As a general rule, people who maintain a website should not be adding their own site. They are biased. Someone with no connection to the site whatsoever should be the one say, "Hey, this site is useful!" and add it.

This applies to me too. I'm the webmaster for my Zen group and I have not added my group's site to Wikipedia. If no one else finds it sufficiently useful to add, then it isn't useful. It hurts, but there it is. Zora 11:02, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

First and foremost, that was not my site, l loved the site so wanted to reference its links and contribute to wikipedia since l am new to this site.

Secondly, any commercial site is still a commercial site, no matter what you say, its a external link, which means everyone going to it makes it money, who gives a shit about what purpose the site holds. Its like a non-profit charity getting a lot of hits sends its users to microsoft, because they are using windows as there system.....? Do you know what l meant here?...anyways...just proving a point..I WONT BE ADDING ANYMORE CONTRIBUTIONS TO YOUR SPECIAL TOPICS.

NOT TO MENTION.. INDIAFM.COM, BOLLYWOODWORLD.COM, AND APUNKACHOICE.COM ARE MY OTHER FAV SITES ARE ALL NOT MENTIONED...WHAT'S THE POINT..THESE 4 SITES HAVE MORE BOLLYWOOD CONTENT THEN IMDB.COM ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We avoid commercial sites. My favorite site is Rediff, and we don't link to that, as a site. Sometimes we'll link to a specific article on a commercial site. For example, we tried to improve the page on Naushad, after he died, and I added a link to the Rediff photo-essay on the premiere of the colorized version of Mughal-e-azam, where Naushad was the guest of honor.

There are a whole bunch of us who are working on Indian cinema articles. We have a community bulletin board and to-do list at WP:INCINE. You might visit and see what we do. Zora 11:21, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Sounds good. I was only doing to help, no harm intended... My next links i was about to add were all the interviews on indiafm, and all the music on bollywoodworld...good you told me this before i did.

anyways, take care.

Zoro, ive edited the Bollywood page since it was containing a lot of ADS only sites and other mostly advertisements without good content..

Seems like retaliation to me. The link to Greencine was not to their main page, but to their "Bollywood for newbies" page, which is helpful. The filmi song plagiarism page is a major resource and MUST go back up. Down Melody Lane I can relinquish, but others may not agree.
Not only the editors here, but my filmi gurus on Usenet (rec.arts.movies.local.indian) recommend the song plagiarism site highly, since it lets you make your own judgments about whether it is plagiarism or not. Zora 01:26, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Nor you or your filmi gurus hold anymore power to this resource as any one else who accesses it. I disagree that greencine hold anything more that a store to buy bollywood products. bollywhat offers same or more info w/o commercialism.

Instead of arguing with just me, how about taking this to WP:INCINE? See what the editors there think? When there's a consensus against me, of people I know and work with daily, I back down. Zora 06:35, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Listen, it doesn't matter to me, l wont be doing anything on your bollywood pages, l was just proving a point. To myself l proved it, you and your group do whatever you want, its not hard to play friends with 50 people online, and get them to agree with you, l could get 200 people online to create a group with opposition views, dont matter anyways.

Hey Happi, get a bit like your name, this is not a place to prove points but contribute, and we would love to have your contributions. Everyone comes on and makes mistakes ( look at my discussions page to see the kind of missives I recieved, what you got are polite at least)so get Happy, once you learn the ropes it would be great.Haphar 14:59, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
