Talk:Happy Station Show
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I added some material from the "Radio Netherlands" page. BTW, there may have been seperate English and Spanish versions, but I clearly remember listening to the shows with Tom Meyer switching back and forth between English, Spanish, and Dutch that I listened to in the '70s. (I never did learn any Dutch from it though, unfortunately.) That was my favorite show. -- Infrogmation 15:32, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tom Me----
I note that the first external link spells the last name of the show's second host as "Meyer", while on the second we see "Meijer". Anyone have a definitive word on this? -- Infrogmation 16:01, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- "Meijer" is the way Tom's name is actually spelled, in Dutch. During his years on the show, he spelled it "Meyer" because he thought it easier for international audiences to remember (and pronounce). Since retiring from Radio Netherlands, however, he has used the Dutch spelling exclusively. gar in Oakland 01:55, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
