Happy Land is a 1943 film directed by Irving Pichel and starring Harry Morgan and Don Ameche.
Ameche and Frances Dee star as Lew and Agnes Marsh, Iowa drugstore owners whose son is killed in World War II. The ghost of Lew's grandfather (Harry Carey) shows him good things about the lives of his son and himself in flashbacks. Ann Rutherford portrays the son's girlfriend. Described as "well-intentioned" in contemporary reviews, Hal Erickson at All Movie Guide described it as "propaganda." [1]
