[edit] g'day!
G'day there, Handmedown, and welcome to Wikipedia! Good authors are always welcome on the project, and I hope you like the place and decide to stick around!
We've got a few pages you might find helpful, such as:
It's all best summed up here: write from a neutral point of view, play nice with others, and don't let the rules get you down.
If you have any questions or need any help, my talkpage is always open for business, or you can see Wikipedia:Newcomers help page. Here's a tip to start you off: if you type four tildes (~~~~
) at the end of any messages you leave on talkpages (like this one) Wikipedia will automatically insert your name and the current date and time after your message. Cool, eh? Happy editing! fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 06:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for welcoming me :P --Handmedown 07:01, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RuneScape
User_talk:Tarikochi has started inserting images into this article again. If you disagree with this article turning into a gallery, you can do two things to help:
- Revert the most recent changes adding back images into the article.
- Explain that the article does not need more images, and is already to long.
Thanks, --Hetar 19:58, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, interesting how rather than stay an argue with me, you start to head toward other people's talk pages and use words you never mentioned to me, such as "gallery," which mind you, is not what was intended at all whatsoever, nor even resemble such, especially no longer in the main article RuneScape. And telling them a completely biased way to "help?" I can only see much more conflict in encouraging such. Tarikochi 20:38, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Well I have no problem with him adding images, but there has to be a limit somewhere. Rather than deleting them its probably best to just keep discussing it, then coming to a solution. --Handmedown 20:51, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, Hetar suddenly has attained a "must delete all and never let anything be added ever again" mindset from what could be inferred. His actions have already taken out over half of the article alongside over half of the images, as presented in [[1]]. Is one or two more re-additions of images really that much of a threat? Tarikochi 21:04, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Well, no, I see no problem having a few pictures in it. Although, I'd try and keep the overall file size as low as possible. 1 MB at the max. It just makes the page load slow. --Handmedown 07:03, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
