I'm Hans Oesterholt and I live with my wife Ulysses and my three children, Merlijn, Jonathan and Persijn in Zutphen, Netherlands. In my daily life I'm a computer scientist. As a computer scientist, I'm developing the concept of "Elemental Programming". Elemental Programming connects creation, elemental creatures, art and programming (see Elemental programming).
Elemental programming comes from autroposofical insights regarding elemental creatures and the act of creation involved in the creation of programs. From antroposofical insights, elemental creatures can be characterized as creatures that have a specific task to do. A watercreature e.g., will gard the flow of a river. Marko Pogacnik, the author of "Nature Spirits and Elemental Beings - Working with the Inteligence in Nature, Findhorn Press, Scotland, 1996, e.g. constitutes this vision.
With elemental programming, one develops the awareness, that programms that are being developed are much like elemental creatures (and not daemons; the term normally used for programs that are running in the background. Daemons would be creatures, much too high in the hierarchy of creatures, to be merely work on one task).
