[edit] Infobox

It's good that the flag and the arms were added. But I wonder about the map -- it shows the location of the City of Hanover (not the state) in a current map (not from before 1946, when Hanover still existed). I think it causes more confusion than it helps. Comments? --Chl 14:38, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

  • I added the map to be in line with other infoboxes- and the map showing the city was the only one avaliable. I would say it is not perfect, but better than nothing. Astrotrain 17:17, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Province of Hanover

I'm not sure I agree with making Province of Hanover a separate article. The separation has the disadvantage that it makes information harder to find for the reader; and editors linking to either article have to decide if it is the right one (which may not always be easy). The province had the exact same area as the preceding kingdom; I would consider them different constitutional stages of the same political entity. Chl 01:55, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merger with rulers of Hanover

Against| Like all rulers, this should be kept as a serperate list for possible future expansion. It is usefull as an article on its own Lofty 15:41, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

It can be split out again when needed. Rich Farmbrough, 15:24 21 November 2006 (GMT).

[edit] kalenberg

Was Kalenberg part of Spanish Habsburg territory in 1648? This map shows it in the same colour as the spanish netherlands --Astrokey44 03:56, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
