[edit] Cannibal?

"Hannibal Hamlin is also known as Hannibal the Cannibal"...?67.82.95.105 03:52, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Are you sure that wasn't Hannibal Lecter from the movie "The Silence of the Lambs" who actually ate people? I would think that a Vice President's tendancies to consume human flesh would be pretty well-documented in history books if he had such a nickname. Valley2city 06:25, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hamblin or Hamlin

The article mentions the family historical name as "Hamblin", but both Hannibal and his 17th century ancestor James are listed with the last name Hamlin. Is there any record of the name being Hamblin? Valley2city 06:22, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
