Three out of the four people shown in this picture are affiliated with the KMT Nationalists. I suggest replacing it with something that is more representative and less politically-biased.

Replace Soong Ch'ing-ling with Yao Ming and Chiang Kai-shek with Zhang Ziyi!--KingZog 18:28, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Soong Ch'ing-ling was a Communist, and the first president of the People's Republic of China. Sun Yat-sen is considered the "Father of Modern China" in the PRC as well. Pictures of Yao Ming and Zhang Ziyi are not in the public domain and cannot be used. 128.135.96.236 23:59, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
The question is, who do we have a useable picture of? We don't have any for Yao Ming or Zhang Ziyi.—Nat Krause(Talk!) 00:53, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
It has to be someone famous. Can't just pick some random photo of a Han Chinese. Haha, I mean I can take a photo of me, but that would be lame. The current arrangement looks good aesthetically. And it's fairly politically neutral. Perhaps Chiang Kai-shek's photo can be replaced with some public photo of Deng Xiaoping? Actually we need more Northern Han representation, current people pictured are all from Southern China, except Qin Shihuang, he doesn't really count (as he is pre-Han). 128.135.96.162 01:51, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
We do have a couple public-domain images of Deng Xiaoping, although they're not great pictures. That might work.—Nat Krause(Talk!) 01:55, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
How about Image:TangXuanzong.jpg? Tang Xuanzong is definitely a famous person, and we should use pictures of different eras..three people of the same era doesn't really prove much. There's a problem, though - Tang Xuanzong is not exactly Han Chinese. We can also use Image:Hongwu1.jpg, Hongwu Emperor of Ming. Aran|heru|nar 12:03, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
