Hans Heiling

Hans Heiling is an opera by Heinrich Marschner with a libretto by the baritone Philipp Eduard Devrient. It was first performed at the Hofoper, Berlin on 24 May 1833. Like Marschner's other great success, Der Vampyr, Hans Heiling is a German Romantic opera and it makes great use of supernatural elements.
