Hannibal is the designation of several multistoried building settlements from the 70's. The housing development "Hannibal" in Stuttgart Asemwald was built around 1970 and consists of several blocks of flats with up to 70 meters height and 24 floors. With own purchase area from service and trade developed in such a way on the Stuttgart Filderhochflaeche a self-sufficient residential town. At the time at that time look up-exciting and still today visit-worth are that, also publicly accessible, panorama swimming pool with Sauna as well as the panorama - restaurant in the highest floor of the building Asemwald 52-62 with view on Stuttgart TV tower, the Fildern with airport Stuttgart and the Swabian Alb. Also in Dortmund two high-rise building projects exist from the 70's with the name Hannibal. In the Dortmunder north city 1972 were built after an eradication reorganization the terrace multistoried building Hannibal. After its building as modern housebuilding praised, the multistoried building is and the surrounding quarter today a social focus of the city. Also in direct proximity a terrace multistoried building with the name Hannibal exists to the University of Dortmund, in the quarter Dortmund Dorstfeld.
