Handewitt (Danish: Hanved) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated near the border with Denmark, approx. 7 km west of Flensburg.

Handewitt is also the seat of the Amt ("collective municipality") Handewitt, which consists of the following municipalities (population in 2005 between brackets):

  • Handewitt * (6.061)
  • Jarplund-Weding (4.433)
