Hananiah

A Hebrew name meaning "YHWH is Gracious". The name of several characters in the Bible, including:
- Hananiah (prophet), a false prophet who opposed Jeremiah
- Hananiah (Book of Daniel), a young man taken captive from Israel to Babylon and companion of Daniel, usually referred to as Shadrach (the Babylonian name imposed on him by his captors)
- In the New Testament there are several characters named Ananias, the Hellenized form of Hananiah
- Hananiah or Haninah is the name of serveral Talmudic personalities
