[edit] Hampe and Vijayanagara

The modern and ancient village of Hampe is being confused in Wikipedia with the ruined city of Vijayanagara. Much of the content of this article belongs over in Vijayanagara. Imc 11:36, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please Merge Hampi and Vijayanagara

Why have too pages for the same location. please merge these pages.

Dinesh Kannambadi

They are not the same place, except to tourists. Hampi is only a village, near the original center of Vijayanagara. The ruins of Vijayanagara are a much bigger area, including at least both Hampi and Kamalapuram, let alone other nearby places such as Anegondi, and perhaps Hospet. Imc 16:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Directions request

Hi, can someone add directions on 'How to get there'? That would be a good addition to this page. I've been there but that was years ago as a child. wildT 08:15, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
