To say that he was favoured to win is a rather overly nz bias to the article.
Why mention he is 33? People can easily see that from his birthdate. It isn't as if there is anything overly special about winning an Olympic triathlon at 33. It isn't like winning one in your late 40's or as actually happened winning the world champs mere days after your 20th birthday (as one Australian did).
"Comfortably"?? I might say the finish was a little too close for it to be called that.
