[edit] General Information
Hampton Hill is a small town in the suburbs of London, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Although Hampton Hill itself does not lie on the River Thames, but the Longford River, an artificial watercourse built to supply Hampton Court does run through it. Aside from the residential areas of the town, the High Street is filled with shops and cafes, as well as a traditional 75-year old bakery. The High Street also stages a yearly parade before Christmas, where the street is closed and procession takes place. The only school in Hampton Hill is Hampton Hill Primary School, however neighbouring Hampton has several schools, including Hampton School, which Queen guitarist Brian May once attended. Hampton Hill is also home to the Hampton Hill Playhouse, a small theatre, and Atrioventricular, an experimental/rock band, which was formed in 2005 in the town.
