Hamlyn Terrace, New South Wales
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hamlyn Terrace is a suburb located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, as part of the Wyong Shire local government area.
Most of the houses are very new, being a new development, and there are still many display homes in the area (2006). Hamlyn Terrace is in a mine subsidence district and is also subject to water restrictions. As such all the new houses are required to have a rain water tank that supplies the toilet and laundry. To maximise outdoor space, this tank is generally underground and will divert to mains water when empty. The town is relativly new, yet it borders the area of Gorakan and Lake Haven, which are several years older than it. Hamlyn Terrace is one of several suburbs that used to make a greater one called 'Warnervale', all are significantly smaller than the original, several plans have been made, to build a Train station, and town centre, to replace those in Wyong.
