[edit] Biography

Blake was educated at St. Leonard's College and Caulfield Grammar School and studied Science/Commerce at the University of Melbourne where he drew for first place in the university's annual stand up comedy competition. There he met comedic partner Andy Lee, with whom he hosted the short lived comedy program on Australia's Seven Network, Hamish & Andy.

Before this, Hamish appeared with Andy, Ryan Shelton and Duncan Campbell on Channel 31's Radio Karate, and had various spots on the radio stations Fox FM and 3SYN 90.7. Currently he is a regular on ABC music trivia program Spicks and Specks and shares the Fox FM Drive Time program with Andy Lee. Recently, the radio show was moved to a drive slot in Sydney, much to the delight of fans. As part of Hamish and Andy's radio show, they (and the listeners) now own a greyhound and are racing him around Australia. Fred Basset's first race was thrilling yet he lost miserably, but being the champion he is, he redeemed himself the following week in Brisbane where he blitzed the field. Unfortunately Hamish could not attend this race, much to the disappointment of his fans. Hamish Blake also appeared on the Network Ten program Australia's Brainiest Comedian, and with Andy Lee and Rove McManus's company Roving Enterprises developed a parody current affairs program, Real Stories, which screened from 22 August and ended on 10 October, on Channel Ten. Hamish has also revealed on his radio show 'Hamish and Andy' that he has a sexual fetish for cosmonauts and finds the outfit sexy.

Blake has appeared on four episodes of improvisational comedy show Thank God You're Here and won once. He appeared on the current season final with an old man mask on.

He also has a monthly column in the Australian women's magazine, Cosmopolitan.
