Hamilton Place Mall

Hamilton Place is a shopping mall in Chattanooga, Tennessee (is said to be the largest mall in Tennessee) Hamilton Place opened on August 5, 1987 and, is seen by many Chattanoogans as the successor to Eastgate Mall (now called Eastgate Town Center). The arrival of Hamilton Place Mall in 1987 precipitated a building boom and a great deal of growth has followed in the time since. Today, there are over 200 stores (with Sears, JCPenney, Dillard's and Belk being the main anchors. Its original anchors were Proffitt's (after just acquiring Loveman's), Hess's (later acquired by Proffitt's), Belk and Sears. It is a very busy mall and a main destination for many of Chattanooga's shoppers. Currently, the mall is owned and developed by CBL and Associates. The crossing has a P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Michael's, Old Navy, Marshall's, Rugged Wearhouse, Wal-Mart and more.
