Hamilton, New South Wales

Hamilton (postcode 2303) is an inner western suburb of the City of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. It has a station (opened in 1872) on CityRail's Newcastle and Central Coast line and Hunter line. The railway line is part of the Newcastle-Maitland line, the first section of the Main North line from Sydney to the New England region, opened in 1857.[1] Hamilton is also home to Newcastle's major State Transit bus depot.
