Hamer is a city in Jefferson County, Idaho, United States. The population was 12 at the 2000 census.

Hamer is located at 43°55′2″N, 112°11′53″W (43.917085, -112.198009)^GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

As of the census^GR2 of 2000, there were 12 people, 4 households, and 4 families residing in the city. The population density was 23.2/km² (59.7/mi²). There were 4 housing units at an average density of 7.7/km² (19.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 41.67% White, 50.00% from other races, and 8.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 50.00% of the population.

There were 4 households out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 100.0% were married couples living together, and 0.0% were non-families. No households were made up of individuals and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.00 and the average family size was 3.00.

In the city the population was spread out with 16.7% under the age of 18, 25.0% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 8.3% from 45 to 64, and 25.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
