Hamburg-Neuenfelde

Neuenfelde is a town located in the Harburg district of Hamburg, near the Lower Saxony border of Germany. It is home to approximately 5000 people and included in the Altes Land region.

The survival of the town is currently under threat from the nearby Airbus factory, who have made plans to extend their runway towards the town. This has create upset from the residents, many of whom have had to sell their properties in order to accommodate these plans. Another source of upset is the planned relocation of the local church, home to a historic organ.

The town consists of two main streets; Nincoper Straße and Arp-Schnitger-Steig, the latter populated by the majority of the town's commercial activity, notably a kindergarten, school, fire brigade, restaurant, pharmacy and a hair salon. Bordering the town is Hasselwerder Straße and Marschkamper Deich.

The town is well known for its quality of fruit and unique houses, many of which prove to be popular attractions for tourists passing through.

The town is not serviced by the Hamburg S-Bahn, however public transport to the city is provided by the 257 bus to Neugraben, as well as the 150 bus to Altona.
