Talk:Hall & Woodhouse

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From the introduction: "Badger Brewery is an independent family brewery... owned by the company Hall and Woodhouse, which also operates over 250 pubs."

  • It doesn't sound very independant, if it's owned by someone else
  • It doesn't sound like a family brewery, if it's owned by a company.

What's the reasoning behind the introduction? Ojw 17:59, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I assume what is meant is that Hall and Woodhouse is a small independent business. I think the Badger Brewery is their only brewery now their one in Dorchester is closed. Joe D (t) 18:02, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Camra seem to think that anything not owned by one of the 4 big corperate mofo breweries is independant. 2 of there golden boys, wychwood and brakspear are both owned by the same company. --Pypex 15:56, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
Its not CAMRA's fault its mine - I had to quickly merge the Badger and the Hall and Woodhouse entries as it didnt make much sense having both and there was a lot of overlap. Please feel free to fix - I dont know much about the ownership of Hall and Woodhouse, but I giess it is not too hard to find out how much it is family owned or whether it is just the brewery.
