[edit] Haley's cryptograms

What's the problem with the you guys, that you keep deleting the Haley cryptograms' translations? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.29.147.46 (talk • contribs).

They're being deleted because they are considered to be indiscriminate information, which is not part of what Wikipedia is intended to present. When they were originally posted, on their own seperate page, a discussion about their validity was opened to Wikipedia as a whole, following standard Wikipedia policy, and, after the presentation of arguments by both sides on the matter, the decision was taken by the Wikipedia powers-that-be to delete the page that they were originally on. Since then, they've been reposted a couple of times, this time on Haley's own page, but the same policy still stands; they're considered to be indiscriminate and thus are being deleted in line with the decision by the P-T-B.
It was suggested during the discussion that they might be considered more appropriate over at WikiQuotes (although this was not guaranteed), but so far, as far as I know, nobody has followed that suggestion up. If you'd like to, go right ahead. --Tailkinker 13:16, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
I suggest uploading it to Comixpedia. You even make interwiki links to it. for example, you could place the translations here: Comixpedia:What Haley SaidGunslinger47 22:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Asides don't really belong in a article, for the same reason cited above - "indiscriminate information, which is not part of what Wikipedia is intended to present". This might be re-worded with a cross wiki link, but as it stands, this isn't in link with wikipedia standards. Timmccloud 01:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

  • (That and the translation of #309 where she said on Panel 9 — "I cheat at solitaire. I have a tattoo you've never seen. I kissed a girl once. OK, OK, more than once!" gives us a clue XD).
