[edit] Part One

Halo Unyielding Part One follows a convoy consisting of three ships, Task Force Avenger, passing through the Eagle nebula. The three ships were leaving the space around the planet Reach when the Covenant attacked it. The ships are on their way back to earth to inform UNSC HighCom of Reach's destruction, when they are ambushed by two covenant battle cruisers. Valley Forge launches a Shiva nuke which wears town the cruisers' shields, then, all three ships launch Archer missiles and fighters. During the fighting SPARTAN-358 and two other Spartans are sent to hold off the Covenant troops boarding one of the larger ships, the Valley Forge. After the first of the large ships is destroyed by Covenant fire, the Valley Forge rams the second and last hostile to give the Daedalus, the smallest of the ships, time to jump to slipspace to warn Earth of Reach's destruction. At the battle's end, it is clear that the Daedalus is the last remaining ship of Task Force Avenger.

[edit] Creating Halo Unyielding

Halo: Unyielding uses a multiple means to produce the film. The 3D is animated and rendered in Newtek's Lightwave 8. The Halo: Custom Edition footage is filmed on a Halo CE map provided by halomaps.org and filmed using Fraps, a screen-capturing program. The Halo 2 portions was filmed in the game Halo 2 on an Xbox 360 using a Canopus 110 video capture card. Special effects such as overlays or chroma key (green screen) are done in adobe after effects. Part one was edited using Sony Vegas 6 and part two is being edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
